Thanks. Mixing paint...I've had a lot of academic training, but I learned mostly through trial and error by experimenting with a lot of different media. I don't sell much work, just a few things each year, partially because I need to have more shows. I'm lazy about showing my work in galleries and need more solo shows!
Yeah, I dodged your question because the prices vary a lot. The cost depends on the size and media. The large oil paintings are around $1500 to $2500 and the small ones range from $500 to $1000 (roughly). Drawings...anywhere from $50 to about $600. If they are at a gallery that takes their cut of 40% to 50% I usually mark the pieces up quite a bit. Thanks for the question.
